Very scenic hotel and very golf oriented. Room was comfortable and spacious, perhaps a little dark but good value for money.
We have just had an overnight stay at the hotel which we really enjoyed. The weather was hot and sunny which only added to the enjoyment and allowed us to enjoy the lovely views. The hotel is value for money and the location great for those wanting a rural treat. Food in the hotel was good and room was pleasant. The only grumble with the room was the loose toilet seat which was not so pleasant. Overall a very lovely stay.
We have been to the hotel before but this is the first time we have stayed. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the very beautiful entrance and this carried on until the minute we booked out.
The restaurant was very good, also the location.
The bedroom was a bit "tired" looking. The furniture and carpet needed updating. There was a window but too high to look out of when seated. There was dust on the handrail leading to the room, that could easily be cleaned. The seating in the lounge bar was poor. There was evidence that drinks had been spilt and then dried on the settees.
expense restuarant not good value. Service in bar poor and disorganised
The swimming pool anad the beautiful lake
Nothing really although it is a suprised that even though they have 4 Sky TV chanels available in the room there are no freeview channels in this modern day
Very enjoyable, swimming pool, food and accommodation was good.
This was an overnight stop visiting family before a lenghty drive. Very pleasant.
The only criticism is that the beds are a little too firm.
No porblem re a very late check in, room and dining excellent
Would have appreciated two bath towels on arrival in a family room but know the hotel are very conscious of towel washing and the environment.
This Hotel and Country Club is very quiet and in a very rural location - a short distance from Wolverhampton. Quite a surprise!! Brent Geese on the lawn were rather special.
The entire premises is a bit old-fashioned. The standard rooms were rather poor. That said the staff were most obliging in transferring us to a super room with a view on to the golf course and the lake.
Melda on Reception was extremely helpful.
The bottle of red wine I ordered was not the correct temperature - it should have been warmer.
Nice quiet, relaxed atmosphere away from town or city accommodation - my other option. Good price fro facilities offered. Easliy booked via internet site.
Noise from Greenkeepers at 07:00, I appreciate this work has to undertaken at times convenient to golfers. Dripping gutter outside room 11
The hotel was fairly clean, the hotel staff were friendly and polite. It has very good fitness and leisure facilities. breakfasts were very good.
The interior is in need of an update. Cleanliness of the rooms could have been better. (we had a piece of confetti which remained in the centre of the floor in our room for the duration of our two day stay, and, we didnt get married !!). Sausages need cooking much longer, they were real annemic looking.
It was too far to the road.
Warm friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful.
